The area of responsibility and expertise for electricity labelling is being transferred from Ruedi Zurbrügg to Energieberatung Meier.

Since the introduction of electricity labelling in 2006, Ruedi Zurbrügg has been deeply engaged with the subject. Over this time, he has built up and shared comprehensive expertise in a variety of roles. During these 20 years, he has advised, trained or audited over 250 energy suppliers across Switzerland. For many years he served as the go-to contact for the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE) on practical questions relating to electricity labelling, and for 17 years he delivered training courses on the subject for the Swiss electricity association VSE.

As of 1 October 2025, Ruedi Zurbrügg is handing over the reins of electricity labelling to Christoph Meier (Energieberatung Meier). As an experienced expert in the field of guarantees of origin and electricity labelling, he has a thorough understanding of the legal framework in Switzerland. In his previous work, Christoph Meier has supported around 200 Swiss clients, giving him a deep understanding of the challenges faced by energy suppliers and industrial customers. With his experience in both the Swiss and European markets, he brings valuable knowledge grounded in a solid understanding of both markets.

Ruedi Zurbrügg is delighted to have found in Christoph Meier a young and motivated specialist to take over his responsibilities in the field of electricity labelling. This ensures that Ruedi Zurbrügg's clients can continue to seamlessly access hands-on expertise in electricity labelling.
